October 30, 2020 | Study Day and Exhibition: "Ein Tag Böhm"
"Ein Tag Böhm". Gottfried Böhm on his 100th Birthday – Live on the Internet
On October 30, 2020 "Ein Tag Böhm" will take place on the occasion of the 100th birthday of the architect Gottfried Böhm. The Faculty of Architecture of the RWTH Aachen University celebrates its former chair holder and Pritzker Prize winner with an international architectural history study day including an exhibition.
The study day, organized by the Chair of Architectural History, brings together current research approaches and perspectives on the work of Gottfried Böhm. We look forward to lectures by Luigiemanuele Amabile and Alberto Calderoni, Elie Harfouche, Angeli Janhsen, Stefan Knecht, Steffen Kunkel, Jan Pieper, Johannes Sander, Klaus Tragbar and Tina Zürn.
The exhibition shows selected contributions from two analytical design seminars of the Chair of Building Typologies. The tool and result of the work-monographic analysis are three artifacts: a photograph, a model and a drawing, because "working with Böhm" always meant producing.
Interested persons are cordially invited to follow the event live on the Internet or – after registration – to actively participate in the conference.
