The Afterlife of the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, 1500-1850


From September 9 to 11, 2021, the Chair of Architectural History in collaboration with the AHO Oslo School of Architecture and Design will host the international workshop "Re-Conceiving an Ancient Wonder. The Afterlife of the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus (1500-1850)", which will bring together current research approaches and perspectives on the afterlife of the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus.

After an introduction by Anke Naujokat, we look forward to sixteen different perspectives on the thematic field, which will be presented by the speakers Inmaculada Rodriguez Moya and Victor Minguez, Sheila ffolliott, Poul Pedersen, Peter Fane-Saunders, Andreas Raub, Fabio Colonnese, Katharina Hiery, Ainhoa de Miguel Irureta, Marco Folin, Raphaëlle Merle, Daniel Sherer, Stefan Hertzig, Desmond Bryan-Kraege, Marina Leoni, Felix Martin and Christian Raabe.
