Yannick Ley gives lectures on sacred architecture of the Middle Ages and organizes student research projects as well as seminars. Furthermore, he coordinates the tasks of the Student Assistants at the Chair and is involved in the advisory board of the Faculty of Architecture.

Teaching Activities

In addition to his research activities, Yannick Ley supervises the Student Research Project Futur[AHR], which aims to develop a cultural-historical sustainable future perspective for the Ahr Valley, which was destroyed by the flood disaster in 2021, as well as the Student Research Project Kornelimünster, which investigates and analyzes the former imperial abbey there from an architectural-historical perspective. He accompanies the associated building survey and building research campaigns and coordinates the communication of the student research results. Furthermore, Yannick Ley gives lectures on sacred architecture of the early and high Romanesque period as part of the lecture series "Building Types and Designs“ and regularly leads seminars dealing with building research around the Aachen Cathedral World Heritage Site.
