Architectural guide 150 Years of RWTH Aachen - Preparation of the publication

In 2020, Aachen's Technical University turns 150 and therefore boasts a correspondingly long period of architectural development. Prompted by the university's anniversary, the Chair of Architectural History has for the first time examined the RWTH's buildings and prepared entries on the main structures. The resulting articles are currently being compiled to create a guidebook that will present the architecture of the university to an interested lay public.

In the course of the present field of research, you will take part in the final steps towards publication. On the one hand, you will be responsible for the standardisation of drawings and text layouts as well as for the completion of illustrations. On the other hand, you will add the missing texts on buildings that have not yet been covered in previous courses. Participation therefore requires an interest in the conception and creation of layouts, plans and graphics as well as a general interest in bibliographic and archival research.
