Architectural Guide RWTH Aachen. Preparing of Publication

During the more than 150 years of its existence, Aachen's Technical University has undergone a considerable architectural development. Prompted by last year's anniversary of the university's foundation, students at the Chair of Architectural History have for the first time examined the RWTH's buildings and prepared catalogue entries on the main structures. The resulting articles are currently being compiled to create a guidebook that will present the architecture of the university to an interested lay public.

In the course of the present field of research, you will take part in the final steps towards publication. On the one hand, you will be responsible for the standardisation of drawings and text layouts as well as for the completion of illustrations. On the other hand, you will add the missing texts on buildings that have not yet been covered in previous courses. Participation therefore requires an interest in the conception and creation of layouts, plans and graphics as well as a general interest in bibliographic and archival research, and in scientific writing.
