MT | Master's Thesis
The Chair of Architectural History supervises both self-edited and faculty-edited master's theses. Please refer to the faculty website for basic information on master's thesis procedures and deadlines (de).
Self-edited "Independent Project"
The Chair of Architectural History supervises both self-edited design theses and theoretical/written master's theses. If you are interested in working on your self-edited master's thesis at the Chair, please contact Prof. Anke Naujokat by e-mail as early as possible. We recommend that an initial consultation about the topic you are considering should take place before the official faculty deadline for submitting the project proposal.
Faculty-edited Project
The faculty-edited master's topic is prepared and edited by a single teaching unit of the architecture faculty on a semester-by-semester alternating basis. It is supervised - with a subject-specific focus, if necessary - by various participating chairs. The Chair of Architectural History also usually offers individual places. Registration for the faculty topic takes place centrally via RWTHonline, taking your preferences into account. After the official assignment has been made, the Chair of Architectural History will contact you personally by e-mail.
